They trusted their feelings and chose with their heart how Oriflame fragrances were tested blindly

What does choosing a fragrance mean to you? It must be a painstaking process based on feelings, emotions and memories. When giving preference to a particular perfume, we often imagine ourselves in a certain environment or image. 

We decided to find out how different Oriflame's portfolio fragrances are from luxury brands. The impressive results of a unique blind test are in our article.

Before we began our testing, we asked a number of questions, such as, 

We selected 10 fragrances from Oriflame's portfolio, including both legendary compositions (Giordani Gold Essenza) and brand new ones (Blazing Warmth). We set an ambitious but achievable task.

To compare Oriflame perfumes with the premium segment and to understand how customers choose a fragrance if they can't see the label.

Participants were given to listen to the fragrances of Oriflame and luxury brands, without showing the bottle and not naming the brand of perfume, and then - was asked in a few phrases to describe the fragrances, the emotions they aroused, to rate from 1 to 10 and detail where and with what would want to wear a fragrance.

In our country 100 people took part under the responsive guidance of ASK Marketing Research Agency, whose specialization is directly related to this kind of research*.

After a few days and thousands of comments we selected 200 characteristics, which fully describe the compositions and the impression of them. The first test results told us that

And the deeper we went into the analysis, the more interesting the results became.

For example, 80% of the respondents said that Blazing Warmth stands out, and one of the comments describing this fragrance was "it smells like flower pollen under the morning dew" *.

Divine Original, according to the participants, embodies an ambitious woman who knows what she wants, and its new interpretation - Divine Exclusive - was called "bright, unconventional and very tasty.

Oriental Vanilla Amber Elixir was deemed "delicate, not edgy, but at the same time, expressive, unusual and modern.

With Giordani Gold Essenza 80% of the participants would feel elegant and attractive, and 81% appreciated the deep notes of Possess*.

Seven out of ten described Eclat Weekend as "harmonious, sensual and sophisticated "*, while 71% said the oriental-fruit scent All or Nothing gave them "a sense of self-confidence.

The compositions for the stronger sex did not stand aside either: 7 out of 10 participants found Eclat Style modern and deep*, and Mister Giordani - classical, suitable for business meetings*.
