Test yourself how do you choose your shower gel?

Attractive design, pleasant fragrance - you have to take it! That's how we usually buy shower gel. But is it suitable for our skin? We'll show you some examples. 

DRY SKIN

Is your skin so dry that it sometimes feels like sandpaper? Instead of using your regular shower gel, try using a shower cream, as it's softer and soap-free. Look for moisturizing and revitalizing ingredients on the label: olive oil, aloe vera, honey, vitamins A, B1 or E. 

Once every three days, massage with a dry brush, sponge or special glove to remove dead cells, increase microcirculation and give luminosity. Don't overdo it-exfoliating will only dry your skin out more.

DULL SKIN

Vagaries of the weather, irregular nutrition and vitamin deficiencies are but a few of the factors that can leave skin gray and lifeless. The recipe for intensive recovery is simple. First, drink enough water. Secondly, make sure you exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells and give your skin a healthy glow. 

Begin your morning with a gentle massage with a dry brush and, in the shower, use a cleanser with mild scrubbing particles and refreshing extracts like strawberry and lime or kiwi. Be sure to apply a moisturizing lotion afterwards. Tip of the hat: Mix a lotion with a few drops of body butter for even more dramatic effects. There you go: a healthy glow and a boost of energy for your skin. 

SENSITIVE SKIN

Looking after sensitive skin is like walking through a minefield: sometimes it seems that absolutely all the products cause inflammation, dryness, allergies or eczema. Don't panic. If you follow these simple rules, you can avoid irritation.

For starters, forget about gels and lotions with intense perfume. Natural, pH-balanced formulas are our everything. Be careful about exfoliating and choose products with the following keywords: creamy, delicate, soothing. A shower cream with avocado, for example, would be great: the fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins in the composition will take care of the skin. If you want a gel, look for moisturizing oils like almond oil. And always use a lotion after showering to soothe your skin and keep it comfortable. 

OIL SKIN

Let's get one thing straight: sebum production depends on a number of factors (stress, hormone levels, genetics) and cannot be regulated through cleansing. Our goal is to choose a shower gel that moisturizes while not increasing oiliness.

A common mistake with oily skin is using aggressive alcohol-based products, which can make the problem worse. Try a gentler shower gel with exfoliating particles that can help scrub pores of dead cells and sebum, thus avoiding inflammation. 

What ingredients does oily skin love? Peppermint awakens and invigorates, raspberry extract contains beneficial antioxidants and vitamin C and lavender helps to improve your mood and gives peace of mind through its relaxing scent. A real joy for your skin!
